Bill Oechsler, president of EthnoGraphic Media, talks about why EGM is doing Global Voices of Nonviolence, a 12-day global conversation that kicks off on the U.N. International Day of Peace with a live event in Washington D.C. He’s joined by Sami Awad, executive director of Holy Land Trust. Sami is one of the subjects of the film Little Town of Bethlehem, and will be with us at the Global Voices of Nonviolence kickoff event on September 21 at The Catholic University of America. The conversation is being co-sponsored by the Institute for Policy Research & Catholic Studies.
|“The Institute is so very pleased to have a chance to co-sponsor this important conversation! The current generation of young people is one that is, on one hand, confronted by a world defined by violence and repression and, on the other, by tell-tales of possibility for transcending that sad reality—as we have seen in the flowering of the “Arab spring” sweeping across North Africa and the Middle East. Thanks to Global Voices of Nonviolence for lending real vision to the possibility of a world without violence.”|
